Struggling Kings to play Concert on the Green

Indie Group, The Struggling Kings will be the headline act at this year’s Concert on the Green in Newman.
The Concert on the Green will be held at the Fortescue Golf Club, Saturday October 19, and there is no cost to attend.

The three brothers who make up the Struggling Kings are Luke, Mark and Daniel Riches come from One Arm Point in the Kimberley, Western Australia.

Now based in Perth the band continues to build momentum making waves in the WA music scene.

With the addition of bass and drums, their full-bodied summer rock sounds have been heard at WA's best music festivals and now will be heard next month in Newman.
The brothers use their Indigenous roots to draw out new creative blends of indie rock and alternative music. The Struggling Kings have previously taken out the award for WA’s Best Indigenous Act in 2019.

They will be joined by Darren Field with the Concert on the Green sponsored by BHP, The Shire of East Pilbara and Onsite rental group.

Shire President Anthony Middleton said, “The struggling Kings are a must see and Darren’s passion for music goes from small stages to large ones, he’s been there creating magic”.

“The Concert on the Green is one of the most exciting events in the annual calendar and provides the opportunity to bring the community together to celebrate everyone here,” Cr Middleton said.
“They all play a role in making Newman a great place to live and work and I look forward to celebrating our community with you again this year at this free event.”
